  Maybe this recording will explain what I mean. In both the program the first and closing node is just a click (and not click+drag). In other program there is no handle in closing node, but in VS there is handle.

  @Devil-Dinosaur The worst type of crash that could occur is when freezing while running on the GPU, this one is not managed (preempted) by MacOS. This may result in a simple logout, or a restart of the computer. Other type of crashes of VS cannot restart the computer since VS is just a regular user space program. Usually, when VS crashes, it saves a crash log that can be sent when the app is started next time. I did not get any crash log on the server regarding this.

  @gentlecl Unfortunately, this type of forced shutdown crashes are not reported by Windows. So if there are some specific steps to replicate this, it would help a lot. One thing that could help is a recording of the whole VS screen with panels open, and the pencil tool being used to crash the app. It might be caused by some panel, or brush type being selected.

  @vectoradmin Thank you. I see. So I wasn't sure if it was a mistake. In part, I also wanted to inform the rest of the users what could be the reason for this. Do you think it's a bad idea to add something like 'Reset handles positions' to context menu? Even if the effect would be the same as convert to curves. Maybe for new users who will find themselves in this situation, it would be a help.

  @Sullyman I could not replicate this, here is what I tried: https://recordit.co/BJQrM9mPFk What was the image format and color mode? Also: what OS you have? Image filtering uses compute, and that might also cause issues on some systems. You could try disabling compute for the document in View -> Display -> Display Options -> Images and uncheck Compute Filtering. Also: there have been reports of issues with grayscale image display.   @vectoradmin I sent you an email about how I think this issue and many of the others are related to a conflict in my custom preferences file. Switching to a default one seems to have resolved this issue and a number of others i was running into in build 26. I also just sent you the workspace file I had been using via email

  @vectoradmin Hey, please check out my last comment on this mega-topic. It isn't the files. I've replicated this with the default files. It's the shape effects panel being active as I described above. This is 100% the cause.

  @vectoradmin no, it does nothing. my workaround is, to use Blend from the Panel Menu, or i convert the Curve to straight line with the Shape Editor Tool.

  @fde101 There is no limitation on have the same symbol size. What happens here is that the newly inserted symbols will get the same transformation form the symbol set. I will figure out some solution for this.
